I am so proud of our team and community for their hard work and dedication to making these fundraising events a success in 2023. The dollars raised at these events make it possible for us to do the great work of fighting ALS and supporting families impacted by this disease. 2023 was also the first year we really saw attendance bounce back from the pandemic. It was amazing to see people come out in person and engage as a community once more.
I’m especially proud of the events team for their commitment to deepening personal engagements with the ALS community, both at these events and year-round. These connections aren’t just for event dollars – they allow us to invest in individuals on a meaningful level, which is at the heart of our mission.
For a person living with ALS, these events are also much more than a fundraiser. These events create a chance to come together with people working toward the same cause, and to meet people like themselves. There is incredible power in this community support and in seeing there are so many people advocating for a different life for them and an end to ALS.
Everything we do is through the grace of our donors and sponsors. In order to continue and deepen this work, we need this support. Our community has these wonderful services at their disposal because of YOUR fundraising dollars. Even $5 makes a difference!
Looking ahead, the events team is working hard to maintain the heart of our popular events while making sure there is always something fresh to look forward to. In 2025, we’ll be adding themes to each of our six regional Walks for a fun new way to engage. We’re also excited to connect with additional local partners throughout the region, so stay tuned for new food and activities at next year’s events.
