A new, in-person grief support group begins Thursday, May 11, 2023. This session will take place from 1:00 -2:30 PM at the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center.
ALS Association of Oregon & SW Washington Grief Support Groups are open to caregivers and family members of those who have lost their lives to ALS, notes Rebekah Albert, Bereavement Services Coordinator.
Both the monthly virtual and new in-person grief support groups are intended to provide safe space for people to share their thoughts and experiences and learn from others who have also lost a family member/loved one to ALS. Each support session will be approximately one hour and include information to support individuals in their personal journeys with grief and loss. The in-person groups will take place at several different locations including Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Gresham and Vancouver in order to provide different options to those living in the greater Portland Metro area. No RSVP required.

Please Note: The in-person grief support group sessions are offered in addition to the virtual group meeting on 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
