I feel so proud when I look at this graphic. So much hard work and dedication from our team and community made these victories possible. 2022 marked a rebound from the challenges of the pandemic, and we have continued to see growth in 2023 in terms of attendance to events. So that’s really heartwarming. The great work we do for people living with ALS and their families is made possible by the fundraising dollars we bring in from these events, and it’s also a great place for people to come and connect with others who know or love someone impacted by ALS.

For a person living with ALS, these events allow them to be surrounded by a community of people being a champion on their behalf. The impact of that support is hard to express. Also, our events are a place for people and families impacted by ALS to have fun, celebrate life, and feel joy! The visual representation of a huge crowd of people standing up to fight back against ALS is incredibly powerful. The Walks, for example, are all representative of the communities they’re in, and it has been such a joy to see a snapshot of every community coming together. It’s important that we continue to get as many people out to events as possible. I want every person who comes to an event to feel like they’re a part of something bigger than themselves, because they really are.

We are already looking forward to our 2024 events! Dates have been chosen, and registration will be opening soon. We’re hoping to put a fresh twist on the traditional events, and we can’t wait to see you there. You don’t raise $2.6 million for ALS research without events like these, and next year we’re aiming even higher. Make sure you sign up for our emails, so you don’t miss out on registration and event information.
