What is “Wine, Dine & Unwind”?
Wine, Dine & Unwind is a brand-new community event happening on February 28, 2026 at the Stoller Family Estate in Dayton, Oregon. You can learn more about this exciting and meaningful evening in the interview below. Holly Miller leads the special events team responsible for this event.
Q: Tell me a little about Wine, Dine & Unwind. What is it, and what inspired it?
Holly Miller, Development Director: This event was created in direct response to feedback from our community, many of whom have been asking for a wine-focused or farm-to-table experience. While we’re proud to host several physically active events (Ski, Walks, and Ride) throughout the year, we heard a clear desire for something more relaxed – an opportunity to gather, enjoy a thoughtfully prepared meal, and connect around a meaningful cause. This dinner event offers just that, with the added bonus of live music and dancing to carry the evening forward, creating a warm, joyful atmosphere where guests can linger, celebrate, and support our mission together.
Q: How does this event support people living with ALS, and why is that important?
Holly: Proceeds from this event directly support the same vital work funded by all of our events, ensuring that people living with ALS and their families have access to essential care services, equipment through our loan closets, financial assistance grants, and ongoing research focused on treatments and a cure. Just as importantly, the event itself reflects our commitment to inclusion, with an ADA-accessible venue that allows people of all abilities to participate fully.
Beyond the funding itself, this event is important because it brings our community together in a meaningful way, raising awareness about ALS while creating space for connection, support, and shared purpose. As a nonprofit, gathering people around our mission is critical – not only to sustain our programs today, but to build hope for a future without ALS.
Q: ALS Northwest also hosts an annual Gala – how is Wine, Dine & Unwind different?
Holly: While our annual Gala is a more formal evening centered around live and silent auctions, Wine, Dine & Unwind offers a distinctly different experience. This event is intentionally more relaxed and does not include an auction component. Instead, the focus is on connection, sharing a nice meal, enjoying paired wines, and spending time together in a casual setting. The evening will still feature a meaningful mission moment, including a powerful story from an ALS family, grounding the event in purpose while offering guests a fresh, more laid-back way to engage and support our mission.
Q: What are you most excited about at Wine, Dine & Unwind?
Holly: I am really excited about the opportunity to try something new and a little different (especially during the dreary winter months, when people are craving warmth and connection). We have a fantastic band booked that will keep the energy high and the dance floor lively, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Stoller, who is providing an incredible selection of wines in a truly stunning venue. It’s shaping up to be an evening that feels joyful, welcoming, and memorable, all while supporting an important cause.
Q: Tell me a little about the Stoller Family estate where the event will be held. Why did you choose this venue?
Holly: Stoller Family Estate is known not only for crafting exceptional wines, but also for being a thoughtful and generous partner to nonprofit organizations. Their team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive throughout the planning process, making this event feel like a true collaboration. The winery itself offers a top-notch experience, from the beautiful setting to the inviting atmosphere. This venue reflects the quality, care, and community spirit we want guests to experience at Wine, Dine & Unwind.
Q: How can I sign up for Wine, Dine & Unwind?
Holly: Tickets for Wine, Dine & Unwind are very limited, so we encourage early purchase.
You may reserve an individual ticket, gather friends with multiple tickets, or secure a full table of eight for a shared evening of great food, wine, and celebration. We hope to see you there and look forward to welcoming you for a wonderful evening in support of our ALS community.
